Roller Blinds

To the uninitiated, roller blinds are created by rolling fabric around a cylindrical mechanism. The blind can be raised and lowered in a number of ways; chain driven mechanisms are by far the most commonly used, and are available in chrome, brass and plastic. Spring loaded mechanisms are operated by hand via a centrally located cord pull, but can be a little temperamental to set up and operate. Electrically operated roller blinds are a great option for ease of use, or in difficult to reach places.

Roller blinds are the epitome of functionality and versatility. Where space is limited above a window or inside a recess, the roller blind is the natural choice. Yes, they lack a degree of the elegance that you can achieve with a roman blind, but manufacturers have worked overtime over the last few years to bring roller blinds back into vogue, and there is now more choice on the market than ever. Roller blinds are now available in bright and daring fabrics and elegant sheers. Accessories include braid, dojo rings and bottom bars in contrasting fabrics and materials.

Not stopping there, some manufacturers will even allow you to laminate your own fabric onto their mechanisms, to give you ultimate flexibility in creating your perfect window treatment. Click on our Roller Blinds Gallery for a few examples of what we have done for our customers.
