Laminated Roller Blinds

Laminated roller blinds epitomise everything that is great about bespoke soft furnishings. We all know about the virtues of roller blinds, and the likes of Silent Gliss, Luxaflex, Louvalite and Sunflex (to name but a few) offer a wonderful range of fabrics, from voiles and sheers through to stripes, floral prints and blackouts. But what do you do if you want all the benefits of a roller blind but you want to use your own fabric, perhaps because the fabrics on offer are a little too crisp, or because you've already decided upon the colour scheme for your room, and set your heart on a particular fabric?

You go for the best of both worlds of course. You have your own fabric laminated onto a roller blind mechanism, as in the picture above, where our customer chose to create a bespoke laminated roller blind using our Madeleine Flock Chambray linen fabric. But don't stop there! Create a truly individual item by adding your own braid to the bottom of the blind, and hide the top mechanism behind a fabric wrapped fascia (as pictured).

A large percentage of the fabrics available can be laminated, although manufacturers tend to draw the line at silk, or fabrics with a particularly accentuated weave or irregular surface.
