Unstructured Blinds

Unstructured blinds are a wonderful option if you are looking to create a laid back, informal look. They are raised and lowered like roman blinds but the cords that raise and lower them are attached to vertical strips of festoon tape on the back of the blind, spaced approx 50cms apart, rather than to the horizontal, rod channels that we use to make our roman blinds.

The absence of the rod channels means that when raised, the blind sags in between each strip of festoon tape, creating, as the name suggests, a soft, casual unstructured look.

Unstructured blinds work particularly well with patterned voile fabrics as the pattern is not disrupted, as it would be by the dowelling rod channels, in a roman blind.
